The version of FlowJo that can run on 68K Macintoshes is available at no charge. This version cannot be used on a PowerPC Macintosh.

Because of the large number of 68K models, it is impossible to test the full range of FlowJo capabilities on every machine. We recommend that you run it on a Macintosh with a 68040 processor, and have at least 8 MBytes of RAM available. You should have System 7.5 or later. Any given 68K version of FlowJo expires approximately every year; if your application ceases to launch, just download another copy from this site!

Because this is a free product, we cannot guarantee support for your particular configuration. Nonetheless, feel free to send us E-mail to let us know if you have specific problems.

Why are we providing the 68K version for free? Frankly, we think that once you start using the program, you will appreciate how powerful it is. When you see how incredibly fast the program is on a PowerPC, you won't hesitate to purchase it. We also recognize that laboratories who cannot afford to purchase new PowerPC computers will likely not be able to purchase software costing more than a few hundred dollars--and hope that we can help those laboratories perform outstanding data analysis by using FlowJo68K.
